Betty English Scholarship Policy
Introduction
The criterion for allocating funds from the Betty English Scholarship is at the discretion of the HTWA Council via a grant sub-committee consisting of the Treasurer, Secretary and one other Council member.
Purpose
To provide funding for full members of Healing Touch Western Australia Inc to further their knowledge or skills in Healing Touch.
Criteria
- Applicants must be a current full member of Healing Touch Western Australia Inc and have been members for 12 months or more
- Applicants much have completed at least 6 hours in practice groups
- Applications should only be made for events within Australia and particularly in WA (e.g., higher units that require accommodation and/or conferences taking place in the eastern states)
- Grants to council members will be made at councils discretion, and either discussed without the member being present or received as justified by the grants sub-committee.
- Applications for a grant may be made every 2 years.
Grant Amounts
- Funds are designed to support members’ continued professional development and will be capped at $500.
- Funds towards units of competencies completed within WA or interstate may be provided with the full $500 grant.
- Funds towards activities (e.g., a retreat) within WA will only attract a percentage of the total $500 grant.
